Job Description

Your life at Ubi:

As a VFX Artist at Ubisoft Bucharest, you will be working together with the team at Massive Entertainment to create a new story-driven open-world video game set in the Star Wars galaxy. Our goal is to create a game and a story that bring both new and lifelong fans on an immersive and outstanding journey, which will stay with them for years to come.

You will combine your technical skills and creativity to create high-quality real-time visual effects.

Your main mission:

• Understand the overall art direction and creative vision to prioritize visual effects;
• Create environmental, gameplay, and cinematic effects;
• Collaborate with programming teams to assess needs and develop new tools;
• Work within technical constraints to ensure that effects are functional;
• Participate in the integration of your VFX into the game engine.

Qualifications

The professional value you bring:

• You have experience in modeling, texturing, lighting and image processing;
• You have a strong knowledge of 2D art tools ( Photoshop...), composition software (After Effects...), 3D software (Maya, 3DS Max ...) and game engines (Unity, Unreal ...);
• You have an interest in discovering and learning new software.

The personal value you bring:

• You are proactive in identifying development needs in our industry;
• You are keen to participate in the development of the junior members of our team;
• You are used to communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical parties;
• You work well in a team environment;
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
