Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.​

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

You will lead a team to scale and expand a world class set of payment processing services. These payment services will be used by both internal and external developers for processing payments for many different funding methods across a wide range of client platforms like Android, iOS, and the web. You will drive solutions and execution with your team through research, development, testing, and release. You will facilitate your team to make proper choices to support business feature expansions while still maintaining a highly available and highly scalable system. Daily, you will manage your team’s sprint execution by helping to unblock your team and ensuring predictable delivery of engineering capacity to the business. You will work with your Product Management leaders to define and manage the roadmap.

Required experience/skills:

• Bachelor or master's degree in computer science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience in highly scalable web services.
• Fluent with RESTful API and Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Firm understanding of Spring Boot framework.
• Firm understanding of various database technologies such as SQL, document, Key-Value styles and their tradeoffs.
• Experience managing engineering team in a large organization.
• Experience leading project execution with some cross team collaboration across organizations.
• Be able to lead code and architecture reviews to raise the quality bar for the team.
• Define and publish product quality metrics for the team to complete.
• Establish goals and plan work with the team.
• Assess candidate competencies, technical skills, and cultural fits in order to expand and scale the team to meet the business needs.

• Knowledge of and desire to work in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs, and solutions.
