We are currently seeking an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Functional Analyst (FA) to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team. With a mission to drive enterprise digitization across electronic order platforms within Eaton’s Digital Customer Experience group, the Eaton EDI FA will model, configure, and implement functional EDI software and process solutions with SAP and / or Oracle ERP systems to meet desired business and customer requirements.
Your main responsibilities:
• Partner with business users on requirements, processes & systems
• Participate in the entire project lifecycle: analysis of proposed process/system changes
• Help manage requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology (using Waterfall or Agile PROLaunch approches)
• Provide knowledge & input on system implications of process changes
• Drive execution of B2B/EDI Development roadmaps for Eaton and its country businesses, ensuring timely EDI project delivery in line with existing SLAs and quality standards
• Complete project related deliverables including future state design documentation and requirements documentation
• Support user acceptance testing events and schedules
• Prepare and provide training as required to business process owners and other key stakeholders
• Communicate the status for deliverables to project management and leadership to effectively mitigate risks and resolve issues
• Analyze business and systems processes & recommend improvements that use standard Eaton software, processes, EDI specifications and platforms. Represent EDI for enterprise IT to participate in large and cross-functional enterprise projects. Participate in implementations and liais with third level support as required
Your essential skills we are looking for:
• Knowledge of EDI mappings and business process configuration using Sterling Integrator
• At least 3-4 years of relevant Experience in EDI wth SAP and /or Oracle ERP systems
• IBM B2Bi Sterling Integrator mapping Knowledge
• Knowledge in X12 EDI standards and transactions
• Knowledge in EDIFACT EDI standards
• Knowledge in non-EDI integration, such as XML, flat file, web services, etc.
• Knowledge communication protocols, such as FTP, SFTP, AS2
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a graduate of Eaton’s Leadership Development Program
• Minimum 3-4 years’ IT experience
• Experienced with full life-cycle (design, build, test, deploy) projects
• Fluent spoken and written English essential
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills – stakeholder management
