Purpose of Job

We are seeking a talented IT Systems Analyst-Entry Level for our San Antonio, TX facility.

The actual days onsite are settled between each employee and the employee’s manager.
Within defined guidelines and framework, assists in providing support between business and IT delivery functions for the purpose of enabling the on-boarding, enhancement and support of systems, applications and other technology solutions. Participates in the assessment of evolving business requirements, to include evaluating and validating technical requirements. Assists in translating technical requirements into functional solution specifications. Researches and helps the team resolve production issues and defects. Assists in the definition and creation of test artifacts..

Tasks:

  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
  • Under direct supervision learns and applies basic knowledge of simple IT delivery functions and their supporting business functions to include processes, services and technology solutions.
  • Under direct supervision participates in the analysis and design of technology solutions supporting simple IT delivery functions to ensure their business needs are met.
  • Under direct supervision participates in communications with customers on the analysis of business needs and requirements to deliver solution artifacts as needed.
  • Participates in the gathering of technical requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, process analysis, use case scenarios, task inquiry and workflow analyses.
  • Participates in the implementation and ongoing sustainment of technology solutions.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Up to 2 years of related experience and accountability for executing projects related to process improvements, business requirements, technology solutions, or supporting activities.
  • Foundational knowledge of the targeted IT functions and demonstrated application of the basic knowledge, skills and abilities needed to provide their support.
  • Foundational level of business acumen, with exposure to industry practices and emerging trends in the areas related to the targeted IT delivery functions.

Preferred experience:

  • 2 years minimum experience of software installations, hardware troubleshooting and project management skills for large rollouts
  • Mature knowledge of inventory tools, to include but not limited to ServiceNow, CG4, Knowledge base articles
  • Experience with compute/mobile device asset management

Compensation:

USAA has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this skill is: $51,700- 93,200* (this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location).

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
