About the opportunity

Kantata is looking for a Technical Consultant to solve complex technical problems and design robust solutions that provide our customers with data that drives important business decisions. You’ll be a subject matter expert in Kantata solutions and support technical integration implementations, data migrations, and consulting experience to enable the best outcomes with customers. This role will support clients across all US time zones and may travel to the US on occasion.

Goals and Responsibilities

Working with our Director of Professional Services, you’ll facilitate conversations related to solution architecture, system landscape, and integrations with third-party applications. You’ll be a mentor and coach to the other team members in an environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork through sharing experiences, information and knowledge, perspectives, skills, and expertise. Responsibilities include:

• Lead data conversion and integration activities: gather requirements, produce business requirement and design documentation, configure/build system integrations, support client user acceptance testing, and troubleshoot integration issues
• Driving the discovery and solutioning process with enterprise customers
• Identifying, assessing, and solving business challenges by understanding the client business requirements and objectives while ensuring alignment with the Kantata solution to drive business outcomes
• Self-managing tasks, timelines, and estimated remaining effort within the larger services implementation
• Gathering requirements across customer implementations and internal teams to help drive the process of identifying and solutioning new tools for process improvement

Your Profile

You’re a technically-minded individual with a desire to solve technical challenges faced by customers. You’ve experienced configuring and deploying SaaS-based solutions and designing and navigating software integrations methods. Data is critical to your success and you have experience working with relational databases and data interdependence, as well as working with numbers to solve problems, analyze procedures, and investigate business issues. You’re able to document technical specifications and deliver meaningful reports to clients based on their business needs. Our newest Technical Consultant will also have:

• 5+ years of experience in technical deployment and project implementation for on-prem/cloud-based commercial software applications, such as ERP, CRM, CMS, or related systems
• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical field, such as professional services, engineering, consulting, or technical support
• Broad technical knowledge of internet-based products and technologies and willing to tackle difficult and complex problems and can document technical specifications
• Experience with enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integrations architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices
• A familiarity leading scope management and identifying potential risks
• The ability to establish strong relationships with customers based on mutual respect and trust
• Excellent written and oral English communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience with APIs, XML/JSON data structures, or SQL administration is a plus
• Familiarity with front-end development and javascript frameworks like Angular or Knockout
