About the Role

The Associate Product Marketing Manager’s mission is to maximize revenue and product line growth through great product launches, positioning, packaging, pricing, and analysis. You’ll think analytically, making decisions and drawing conclusions from qualitative and quantitative data. You’ll be technically savvy so you can translate complex product concepts into the business language of buyers. You’ll communicate passionately, so you can aggressively and enthusiastically champion your products as you tell the Validity story. You’ll collaborate closely with product management, sales, sales enablement, and marketing so you can meet and exceed your targets.

Team Dynamic

To succeed at Validity, you’ll need to execute quickly and be comfortable with change, but you should also not be afraid to take a step back and ask questions to align strategy with tactics. You should love finding just the right way to educate a target audience with meaningful, engaging information, not hyperbolic marketing fluff. You should think from the buyers’ perspective to answer, “So what?” Most importantly, you should be interested in frequently experimenting, constantly improving, and not being afraid to make mistakes. You’ll work with a team of like-minded individuals who are learning more every day.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert for your product line
  • Study and understand our target buyers through “outside-in” activities
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas
  • Produce training materials in collaboration with the sales enablement team
  • Work with product manager counterparts to understand product features and give input to the roadmap
  • Collaborate with the demand-gen, public relations, and customer success teams to broaden the reach of your product line
  • Write thought-provoking content for sales tools, marketing collateral, blog posts, and article bylines
  • Create go-to-market plans and execute launch activities
  • Set, analyze, and adjust pricing and packaging
  • Present thought leadership in webinars and other events
  • Research markets and performs competitive analysis

Required Experience, Skills, and Education

  • 0-3 years of experience in product marketing role(s) within the technology/software industry
  • Experience driving business results cross-functionally with sales, services, products, and marketing
  • Understanding of go-to-market strategies and tactics
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (less than 10% per year)

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or software-related technology field
  • Experience with the email marketing industry
  • Experience with B2B and Software as a Service (SaaS)
