100% Remote, Product Manager- Marin Software (Data Science/Optimization)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to take our forecasting and optimization features to the next level, requiring strong overlap of marketing, product management and data science skills. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable making sense of large datasets, building prototypes, and working alongside data science and engineering to bring about new features and enhancements to support Marin’s vision for budget management.

Customers use the forecasting and budget management feature-set to plan, pace and optimize their advertising spend in ways not possible with publisher tools, with Marin being uniquely positioned to provide cross publisher and cross channel measurement, management and optimization insight and solutions focused at driving improved financial performance, automated timesaving workflows through a highly customizable and interactive UI.

About The Team

We are maintaining current large-scale platform technology solutions while defining the next generation of OLTP and OLAP systems. We are a fast-paced, agile and innovative team. We work closely with different engineering development and operation teams and implement technologies to enable features for our business.

As a technically skilled Product Manager at Marin, you will be the nexus for all product decisions for our Data Science/Optimization team .

What we’re looking for:

• Prior experience in product management
• Technical nous/experience to work effectively with Engineers/Developers and Data Science professionals
• Some experience in basic scripting would be highly desirable (e.g. Python, Python-notebooks, Bash/Linux command line scripting, Perl, or similar)
• Experience with reading and manipulating data from relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, Hive, Presto or similar)
• Expertise in data analytics required (e.g. statistics, data science, machine learning - ability to interpret, analyze and make sense out of data)
• Ideally, but not required, is knowledge of digital marketing and ad-tech, with a strong preference for SEM/PPC and/or social marketing
• Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable discussing technology with Engineers and commercials with Executives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - this includes being a concise, proactive communicator
• Track record of owning/project managing complex initiatives
• Comfortable making data-driven, strategy-informed decisions
• Some experience / knowledge of basic UI and software development best practices would be ideal
• Someone who thrives in not being constrained by job description and will instead own and see a problem through to a solution

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday- Open to 100% Fully Remote or Hybrid roles if close to a Marin office!

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $100,000-$190,000+. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits but we will adjust our compensation for the right candidate with the appropriate skills, experience, credentials, and cultural fit.
