The Revenue Assurance team is primarily responsible for making sure that Siemens can invoice for the correct volume and value of the work that we have carried out each month. This is done by creating accurate invoices and maintaining controls on pricing and job data.The role is responsible for analysing, processing and distributing significant volumes of job level data to ensure that Siemens can accurately report the volume and value of work at the various stages of the invoicing lifecycle. You will work closely with our external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that all eligible work is invoiced in a timely manner and to trial and implement continuous improvement initiatives that might further enhance this activity. You will also work closely with the finance and commercial teams to share intelligence, monitor performance and report our monthly figures.We are looking for someone who can analyse data to aid problem solving and then identify which team / function can resolve that issue to get the completed jobs invoiced in full. Someone who is good with change and adapting to new processes when is necessary for the business to move forward. This is your role. What part will you play?- To check, collate and summarise the monthly summaries of forecasted completed work (Accrual files).
- Implement quality control checks on all invoice files going to customers; ensure they’re correct with no anomalies.
- To maintain a rolling tracker of all work that has not been invoiced.
- Ensure this tracker remains valid and that the contents are all priced correctly as the results from each constituent job changes.
- To maintain a rolling tracker of all work that has been invoiced and disputed.
- To analyse and resolve some invoice disputes by cross checking data with our business partners.
- To create clear and concise MI to report the volume and value of the work at the various points in the invoicing lifecycle.
- To actively seek process automation and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective working relationship and processes with Finance and Account Management team colleagues.
- To manage and maintain knowledge via appropriate knowledge share.
What does it take to be successful in this role?- A naturally inquisitive mind-set that enjoys detailed analysis.
- Understanding of Meter Operations systems and databases preferable but not essential.
- Good knowledge of Excel with previous success in maintaining and organising data. A particular benefit would be experience in using ‘Look-up’ formulae, IF AND & OR functions and Pivot tables.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to internal and external customers at all levels of seniority.
- Must be competent in using standard desktop applications (Outlook, Word and Visio).
- Demonstrated ability to use critical and strategic thinking to analyse data, resolve discrepancies, fill gaps, and sustain quality control benchmarks.
- Experience within a Meter Operations environment preferred but not essential.
- Experience of analysing large volumes of data and creating appropriate summaries with trend analysis.
- Must have experience of updating, maintaining and interrogating large data sets using Excel formulae listed above.
