What you'll do:

• Performance Benchmarking of various Microservices - Gather requirements, Setup environments, JMeter Scripting, Run load, stress, endurance tests, chaos tests, failover and disaster recovery tests, Monitoring using OS native tools, AWS Cloud watch, Performance Bottleneck Identification & Provide recommendations
• Work with Engineering, Customer support, Product management teams to gather requirements and develop performance and scale test plans based on deep understanding of domain, architecture and product tech stack.
• Deploy and manage AWS instances to orchestrate the scale and performance testing pipeline.
• Partner with other performance engineers and developers to develop best practices
• Use your knowledge of databases, Web, App Servers and OS to analyze and understand production environment, reproduce difficult and complex customer issues on performance environment, do root cause analysis, run performance tests, verify fixes and bring to closure Continuously think about ways to improve Scripting & Reporting Process
• Influence stakeholders across time zones and geographies to continuously raise the bar on performance & user experience, timeliness and innovation.

You should have:

• Degree in computer science (e.g., a CS degree or extensive experience)
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience - mainly on performance and scale testing
• Extensive experience using JMeter
• Experience in Performance Testing Kubernetes Applications (Microservices)
• Excellent Kubernetes diagnostics experience
• Strong experience in performance testing of Enterprise products
• Strong experience in supporting an enterprise level SaaS environment
• Security Testing experience (IAM security testing, etc.) would be nice to have
• Experience with persistence layer scale and performance troubleshooting preferable
• Experience with AWS services (IAM, RDS, EC2, Cloud watch, etc. ), open source tools such as Kafka preferable
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with Data dog monitoring
• Good understanding of Linux commands
• Working knowledge on Fiddler, Wireshark, or any network packet capture tools
• Fair knowledge on workings of 2 tier, 3 tier architecture, cloud systems (K8), Disaster recovery Testing, Failover Testing.
• Ability to narrow down root cause of performance bottlenecks
• Working experience with at least one relational database like postgres or mysql
• Knowledge of CI and Jenkins
• Good written communication skills
