We are looking for a Senior Marketing Data Analyst to join our Marketing team, reporting to the senior director of Marketing Operations. In this remote role, you will join an elite Marketing Operations and Insights team that is focused on transforming the complex volumes of data within a modern digital marketing machine into real-time, actionable data visualizations to empower accurate and informed business decisions. You will work between multiple systems, combining large structured and unstructured data sets into digestible reports, insights, and dashboards in support of business owners. At Infoblox, Marketing Operations is viewed as the digital nervous system of the entire Global Marketing team and is THE key advisor and partner to the chief marketing officer and the senior marketing leadership team.You’re the ideal candidate if you are passionate about driving alignment between Sales and Marketing, leading to data-driven decision making, and strategy design. You are organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the health of marketing performance, including pipeline contribution, program ROI, customer acquisition/penetration, and activity
  • Understand the business process of marketing teams, KPIs, and pain points so you can provide in-depth reviews and identify actionable insights and trends to optimize marketing strategies
  • Attend cross-functional meetings to answer business questions through data mining and analysis
  • Work with members of the Demand Generation and Marketing Operations teams to support aspects of our efforts, including data measurement, data integrity, and system management
  • Develop reporting and Tableau dashboards to present campaign performance and marketing metrics to the larger Marketing organization
  • Manage accuracy of critical data points across various marketing and sales systems, including Salesforce.com, Tableau, Google Analytics, multi-touch Attribution, and other marketing technologies
  • Build highly effective working relationships with the broader Marketing team, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and IT
  • Project manage enhancements to the current data lake while being responsible for updates and monitoring accuracy of marketing data in downstream systems.
  • Work closely with IT for defect resolution
  • Define and govern marketing metrics definitions, multi-touch attribution models, and single source of truth reporting

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience or relevant work experience in marketing analytics or a business analyst role, working with large, differentiated data sets
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Deep knowledge of CRM, BI, and other data platforms including Salesforce.com, Tableau, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Proven hands-on experience building intuitive, yet multi-faceted reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com and/or Tableau
  • Experience working between multiple systems, bringing together large structured and unstructured data sets into digestible reports, insights, and dashboards in support of business owners
  • Strong organizational, analytical, meeting management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong SQL and experience working with a data lake required
  • BA/BS in marketing, business, or related technology area; MBA desired but not required

What success looks like:

After six months, you will...

  • Understand the Marketing strategy and metrics definitions to enable self-service reporting and actionable insights
  • Delivery single source of truth reporting and dashboards to Marketing and Sales stakeholders

After about a year, you will...

  • Drive improvements and enhancements to business intelligence capabilities within the Marketing organization
  • Lead analytics projects and collaborate with marketers to ensure strategy and decisions are rooted in data and insights
