Key responsibilities

  • Develops process improvement projects, operating independently to improve the workflows across diverse functions within finance.
  • Manages a set of improvement projects intended to deliver meaningful, timely, and key projects intended to achieve a set of specific goals.
  • Drives solutions to improve our internal access to accurate and timely information, improve our customer experience, and reduced manual effort across all finance teams.

This role merges the project management and data management responsibilities, with a focus on driving projects to completion in a way consistent with our team’s mission.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Certification as Six-Sigma green-belt or black-belt strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in process improvement
  • Ability to transform complex ideas into easily understood concepts
    • Strong consultative and storytelling abilities (visual, written and oral) to convey your findings and knowledge and bring the customer experience to life and influence teams members at various levels with the organization
  • Advanced Excel Skills Required
  • Experience with flow-charting or process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc...)
  • Experience with process documentation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfort with complexity and ambiguity in day to day operations
  • Demonstrated success in uncovering and solving challenging customer issues in a dynamic business setting and delivering high quality results in a challenging environment
  • Curiosity to explore complex and customer focused qualitative/quantitative data sets, experimenting to see what insights it uncovers
  • Experience managing all phases of customer experience projects including designing, executing, research, analyzing data, summarizing insights and communicating recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced analytic techniques and develop strategic frameworks to synthesize insights from multiple data sources
  • Ensures deadlines are met and proactively communicates when deadlines are at risk and associated roadblocks
  • Proven relationship building abilities across multi-functional teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written (presentations/emails) and oral (personal interactions)

  • You’re analytical and process driven
  • You’re able to understand data at a granular level
  • Experience working with financial data
  • Experience with Process Improvement
    • Finance Experience a Plus, but not required
  • The ability to work across different platforms and able to learn new platforms quickly
  • Excel proficient, other data tools a plus

Bonus points

  • Salesforce experience
  • Oracle / Netsuite exposure
  • Proficiency using a modern data analytics system to manage company data (such as tableau)
  • Proficiency with one or more project management tools (such as smart sheets, JIRA, or MS Project)
