Position Summary:

Sea Mar Community Health Centers located in Vancouver, Washington is looking for a Crisis Registered Nurse to work out of its location at Rose Village. This program was currently under CSNW and is now run by Sea Mar and its associates (CSNW). The person selected will either be hired as an RN I or RN II. The pay differs depending on licensure.

The RN I or II is responsible for all duties assigned to licensed nursing personnel on Sea Mar’s community-based behavioral health programs, including Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) and Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) First Episode Psychosis (FEP) and Community Support Team (CST) or similar high acuity, community based treatment model. The RN participates in the design, implementation, and ongoing delivery of services. The RN is responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; coordinating communication regarding individuals’ psychiatric and physical health needs; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; and providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. The RN may assist in the management of patient flow issues, consultation, rooming patients, assisting providers in procedures, and taking phone messages. The RN works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members to provide the best outcome for clients and the organization. The RN shall focus on, lead, perform and create excellent outcomes for Clinical Quality Measures.

Education and/or Qualification :

  • Must have graduated from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree (for RN I) Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (for RN II). RN, BSN, or equivalent is required.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Washington to practice as a registered nurse.
  • Must have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting. Previous ambulatory care and consultation experience is desired.
  • Must have experience working with a wide range of patient age groups and health concerns.
  • Must attain the state mandated HIV education.
  • Must pass TB test at time of hire and annually thereafter. Must receive flu vaccine annually.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.
  • Must have access to a car, possess a valid driver’s license and current auto registration.
  • Must authorize Sea Mar to obtain current driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (and annually thereafter) to determine driving eligibility. Driving record must meet Sea Mar’s vehicle insurance carrier’s minimum standards related to driving for the purpose of determining eligibility.
  • Must provide Sea Mar proof of auto insurance (upon hire and at renewal time). Must submit a copy of the endorsements page of their insurance policy to HR. Must carry minimum liability coverage required by the state where they reside.
  • Employee will be required to carry additional liability coverage.
