What You'll Be Doing

• Build, maintain, and update scripts for deployment environments, mainly written in terraform and running in Jenkins.
• Automation and processes required to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor internal, product and cloud-based applications
• Replicate customer infrastructure in AWS and help support engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Suggest improvements and enhancements to customer environments to help resolve technical support issues
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned tasks
• Learn and understand the Alation product at an advanced level to be able to master it’s configuration and administration skills
• Ability to read documentation for data sources and setup connections as needed with the Alation product
• Willing to learn new tools and technologies
• Work with Operations and Escalation disciplines to help resolve customer issues and reduce turnaround time

You Should Have

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science is preferred
• Minimum 3 -5 years of professional experience as an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer in high scale Production environments.
• Experience with the core AWS services, VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, LAMBDA, ACM, ECS, EKS
• MUST - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools
• MUST - Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments
• Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and other cloud native architectures
• Working knowledge of authentication protocols like Kerberos, SAML, LDAP
• Working knowledge of networking tools and infrastructure like firewalls, load balancers, proxies is a must
• Experience of a scripting language, preferably Bash and Python.
• Hands on Windows OS
• Experience with Git/Github
• Beneficial to also have Azure certifications, AWS certifications, and Terraform certifications
