Description:Come and experience your future! This position is an F-35 Logistics Project Manager (LPM) / Contractor Instructor Pilot (CIP) located at Misawa, Japan. Candidate will manage 14 personnel at the site and assist other Asia-Pacific locations as required. Candidate will also instruct Japanese pilots as a qualified CIP.
Additional duties:
Prepares training and upgrade missions for customer. Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material. Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Evaluates and monitors students’ performance. This position is typically represented by an experienced pilot.
Foreign Assignment:
This position will offer a long-term deployment to a foreign country. Candidate will manage the daily activities of the Training Ops at Misawa, Japan for the F-35 Program. Supports military pilots’ flight procedures in maintaining qualification level in the Pilot Training Device by executing approved pilot training syllabi, upgrade, and tactics training. CIP will provide pilot training using the F-35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS). The instructor will primarily operate Instructor Operating Station (IOS) and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfill F-35 training and continuation training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access. Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and management skills with proven ability to work unsupervised towards program goals with diverse Team.
- Willingness to travel to support mission
requirements.
- Candidate should have a minimum of 1000
hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth
generation fighter aircraft. Former Instructor
Pilot (IP).
- Candidate must have prior experience in
Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training.
- Candidate should have operational experience
with advanced sensor systems such as NVS,
LANTIRN, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest
weapons inventory.
- Candidate must be familiar with current
instructional techniques and delivery methods.
Must have in-depth knowledge of military
publications and an understanding of fourth
and/or fifth generation aircraft systems.
- Candidate must have worked in an
environment which required them to interact
with multiple functional areas and personnel of a
diverse nature.
- Use of Microsoft Office products (Word,
PowerPoint and Excel) is required. Candidate
must have outstanding interpersonal skills,
excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written
communication abilities, solid ability to organize,
and a high desire to provide customer
satisfaction.
- Candidate must have a current final secret
security clearance with a reinvestigation within
the last six years.

- Strong systems engineering background.
