Job Description

Eaton’s Corporate Division is currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Learning and Culture Operations to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH or Moon Township, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

The Manager of Learning and culture operations has responsibility and ownership for overall operations of the function and reports directly to the Vice President of Learning and Culture at Eaton. This role is integral to managing the effectiveness of the overall function to ensure our continued value to the business.

This role will creates and executes a strategy that ensures all elements of the learning function are operating effectively, including identifying effectiveness measures, enabling processes that manage them and ensuring the services and programs of the function are marketed, communicated and deployed in a way that is exciting and engaging for the user. This role also has responsibility for the management of professional services included but not limited to the enterprise global mentoring program, 360 tools and resources, Global Stretch Assignment Marketplace, career management, insights deployment, educational assistance, Eaton scholarship program.

In this function you will:

  • Manages, coordinate and improve vendor management across the learning team inclusive of contract management and invoicing processes.
  • Manages strategic relationships with vendors to ensure services and support and works with vendors to address and manage challenges as they occur.
  • Manages and facilitates overall learning and culture budget (including separate activity centers for Early talent, Leadership and Functional Learning) and assists team in identifying areas of better leverage throughout the year and ensuring visibility to profit plan and spend.
  • Creates and manages effectiveness measures for the function inclusive of progress to overall strategic plan as well as effectiveness of individual programs and services.
  • Helps drive efforts that improve the overall effectiveness of individual programs.
  • Establishes a sustainable strategy to support deployment needs of the function including logistics and communications for identified programs.
  • Establishes and deployes a communication and marketing strategy for the overall function as well as enabling specific programs as identified annually.
  • Manages the functionals internal digital presence inclusive of intranet and service now page content and integrations, driving HR resource center audits and maintenance, managing and streamlining teams and sharepoint sites intended to support the team and broader stakeholders.
  • Leads, coaches, develops and guides the operations team while identifying opportunities to scale the team over time.
  • Has functional responsibility for the early talent operations team to ensure processes are streamlined and efficient.
  • Manages the strategy and deployment of Eaton’s global mentoring program
  • Manages all professional development services and programs inclusive of strategy creation as needed and driving execution: including but not limited to: 360 tools and resources, Global Stretch Assignment Marketplace, career management, insights deployment, educational assistance, Eaton scholarship program.
  • Provides operational and project management support to the overall team, enabling effective operations and visible traction on strategic plan
  • Establishes a strategy and process for managing project tracking and capacity planning for resources within the function
  • Establishes strategy to run operations for L&C and outlines path to scale team in the future
  • Assists with Org Effectiveness work as needed and required including but not limited to: change management support, Employee Listening support and org design coaching and support

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 10 years of Learning, HR or business / project management related experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Relocation will be provided for candidates living outside a 50-mile radius of locations listed in job description

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong project management skills demonstrated large, cross group project and program management skills
  • Change management skill
  • Extensive computer skills, including proficiency in excel, PowerPoint
  • Skilled with excel, Office 365 suite of tools and PowerBI

  • Strong Influencing, communication, and coaching skills
  • Demonstrate experience managing and developing people and coaching and influencing managers
  • Continuous/process improvement experience and mindset.
