The Role: This position is accountable to conduct instruction in the design of hydronic and steam systems; the recommended applications for the CBS Market products; and product service and system trouble shooting techniques. Additional responsibilities include the modernization of training materials and delivery mechanisms, training manual creation and updates, and assisting Training Manager with general upkeep of the Little Red School House.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Instructs in the design of residential (basic) and commercial (complex) hydronic systems.
- Instructs in the design and operation of steam heating systems.
- Instructs in the service & maintenance of hydronic products and systems analysis.
- Instructs via In-Person, Live Webinar, and Pre-Recorded Video learning environments.
- Lectures and conducts field meetings and seminars as required – some international travel.
- Prepares PowerPoint presentations and other visual aids for use in the learning events.
- Prepares demonstration units and other training aids.
- Participates on trade organization committees (e.g. ASHRAE TC6.1).
- Assist Marketing, Sales, PLM’s and Reps in responding to customer inquiries about system design & troubleshooting.
- Assist in development of future training roadmap to create improved learner engagement, leading to increased sales
- Create curriculum/content to facilitate future training needs identified through various program evaluation methods
- Assist in identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success of training programs
- Performs other miscellaneous duties related to training and education as required.
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3-5 years design/or operations experience in hydronic or water-based pumping products and applications.
- Must be able to speak English clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in teaching/training and education is highly preferred.
- Prior experience with use of training content development tools a plus.
