What You'll Do

As a Sr. Project Manager on the Implementation team, you will be responsible for ensuring progress across internal and external work streams for a variety of projects. This requires a deep understanding of relationship dynamics, strong process development and adherence, and proven expertise in program and project management. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for engaging with a wide variety of teams to ensure successful and on-time delivery and execution of customer commitments. This role is accountable for delivery for key accounts with regular interaction with customer stakeholders, and is expected to perform at a senior and autonomous level. This individual is intellectually curious and has excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Statements of Work, change orders, and complete work breakdown estimates for projects/programs.
  • Develop, update and manage project plans and scopes of work to ensure project success
  • Work with the customer to plan program/project launches.
  • Lead internal and external program/project launch meetings.
  • Lead teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Track project financials and manage customer invoicing.
  • Ensure projects and team members are set up to track time and other administrative activities associated with the project.
  • Identify and manage schedule and resource interdependencies.
  • Work with the PMO to allocate resources.
  • Drive progress to project deadlines and milestones.
  • Maintain project alignment to ensure the team produces deliverables and meets objectives.
  • Work with Technical Delivery, Product and Engineering teams, as needed, to ensure timely delivery of all milestones.
  • Ensure Customer goals are clearly defined for the team from the sales process, or by working with Subject Matter Experts or Solution Architects to define further.
  • Build relationships with project work stream owners to plan and measure delivery of project goals.
  • Coordinate with work stream owners to ensure needs and expectations are communicated appropriately to other Uptake teams and customers.
  • Responsible for the successful completion of all milestones.
  • Schedule and lead regular status meetings, and development of dashboards and reports.
  • Provide executive level status meetings or reports as requested.
  • Responsible for managing all assigned project KPIs and measurement of those targets and KPIs during the implementation of the solution.
  • Proactively manage project risks and issues, escalate issues internally, and externally in a timely fashion.
    • Ensure seamless operations, identifying internal and external issues and risks, working with relevant groups to address and mitigate.
    • Ensure the completion of a risk register for both internal and external program/project risk.
    • Own escalation updates to Sales and Management, appropriately sharing and discussing urgent and important issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the development of the PMO to identify and develop best practices and tools required for project and organizational success (communication materials, dashboards, reports, implementation playbooks, etc)

What We're Looking For

10+ years of experience in project/program management, consulting, product, implementation or other customer-focused role

  • Experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex relationships and projects, mediating disputes and negotiating resolution to difficult problems
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be hands-on and flexible
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, planning, leading and execution to contribute to program consistency
  • Ability to think creatively and facilitate the development of solutions to complex challenges.
