Job Description

Yext (NYSE: YEXT) is building the next big thing in AI search, and the next big thing is answers.
With the explosion of information and data online, search has never been more important. However, while the world of consumer search has innovated over time, enterprise search has not. In fact, the majority of enterprise search is powered by outdated keyword technology that only scans for keywords and delivers a list of hyperlinks rather than actually answering questions. Yext, the AI Search Company, offers a modern, AI-powered Answers Platform that understands natural language so that when people ask questions about a business online they get direct answers – not links.
We have a big, audacious mission to transform the enterprise with AI search. To achieve that, we need bright minds and diverse perspectives to join our growing company and help us continue to disrupt an industry. Does this sound like you?

Yext Product Managers design and innovate on the award-winning Yext Platform. In this highly cross-functional role, you will drive product development and innovation by breaking down complex problems. You will meet customers and work closely with design, engineering, and more to drive software development from start to finish. Our role is highly cross-functional – we are constantly presented with opportunities to learn new things and have a big impact throughout our business. We encourage outstanding individuals interested in having a key role at a great company to apply for this challenging and rewarding position. As a Product Manager for Yext’s Pages product, you will bring front-end development expertise and a commitment to creating high quality developer experiences.
What You’ll Do

  • Meet with current and prospective customers to understand their needs to drive product planning
  • Follow industry trends through exploring complementary and competitive products, meeting with partners, attending conferences, and investigating new technologies
  • Contribute to company-level product planning by developing concepts into specs, evaluating them, and participating as we build a strategic product roadmap
  • Generate, gather, and organize ideas for features and improvements for the Yext local marketing cloud, prioritize feature requests, and maintain part of the roadmap
  • Investigate and analyze requests from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, design solutions for them, and drive their implementation
  • Design product enhancements and communicate designs orally, through diagrams, and through PRDs
  • Facilitate software development projects, working with our design team, engineering team, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate feature launches, including orchestrating testing, documentation, training rollout sequencing, customer communication, and adoption measurement
  • Work with partner companies to explore and drive business development initiatives
  • Serve as a resource for other employees who have product questions, feature requests, and other needs
  • Present current and future capabilities to both internal and external audiences
  • Design products to solve customer and business needs. This includes go-to-market requirements and roadmap, engaging customers, sales leaders, and other stakeholders to agree on development priorities.

What You Have

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a product management or computer science role
  • A deep understanding of front end web development: e.g. HTML, CSS, React, Webpack, Tailwind, Javascript, Vite, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern web deployment tooling: e.g. Vercel, Gatsby, Contentful, Next.js, Netlify
  • Product mindset - inclination and ability to envision a product and then marshal and drive resources to realize that vision
  • Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a constantly changing work environment
  • Able to generate creative, simple solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to quickly understand, reason about, and fluently discuss existing and proposed software systems
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment
  • Works well under pressure
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Solid work ethic
