At the West Palm Beach (WPB) facility we are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Engineer to join our team of the most highly qualified personnel in the industry! Are you looking to join such a team?
Manages Sikorsky's flight test engineering operations software development activities.
Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software used to manage flight test vehicle configuration, maintenance, modification and operation.
Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, flight test operations processes and procedures, design and manufacturing systems and procedures, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met.
Responsible for coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree with 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years of experience with a related Master’s degree.
Demonstrated ability to lead software development activities and manage teams thru traditional waterfall methods and via agile processes.
Desired Skills:
Flight test operations and test vehicle configuration management experience.
Project Management certification or equivalent experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and report on project status is desired.
Experience in the development of complex engineering applications including web technologies and relational database design and management.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated development skills using Java/JSF, Apache web development frameworks, as well as PostgreSQL RDMS architecture, operation and maintenance, and Apache Tomcat configuration and management.
Additionally the candidate should demonstrate a command of current software development and software project management tools and technologies and the utilization of those tools in the management of teams and projects.
Ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a familiarization with flight test engineering test vehicle maintenance and configuration management processes and procedures.
