ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The Business Insights Specialist is responsible for the creation, curation, and transformation of raw data into actionable insights to support the growth of the International business. The Business Insights Specialist will sit within the Strategy and Business Operations team and support the identification and implementation of the organization’s most critical programs and projects as well as support with iterations of existing products, programs, and features with the support of recommendations through strategy.

• Creation
  • The role will be tasked with gathering data requirements of new and existing solutions to drive improvements in daily operations as well as avenues of future growth.
• Curation
  • The role will manage regular reporting to support international leadership in making data informed decisions about strategy and tactics.
• Transformation
  • The role will create, iterate, analyze, and synthesize raw data sets and deliver clarity from complexity.

The Business Insights Specialist will work closely with leadership to help enable the most important decisions for the company through data-informed insight. The ideal candidate must -

1. Be able to create and manage multiple complex cross-functional data sets
2. Be able to function in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
3. Be a strategic thinker yet focused on execution and able to roll up his/her sleeves to get things done.
4. Have high energy and drive and have a proven track record of using data to help deliver exceptional results.

In this role you will work with stakeholders from multiple teams, departments and areas of focus to help all sides of our marketplace (our vendors, couples and teams) successfully deliver on our mission in a well-organized & data informed manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize data requirements, develop & understand process, and system dependencies as well as be comfortable with managing data flow (upstream & downstream)
• Closely collaborate with data users to translate requirements into defined technical needs and determine the impact of a variety of data requests.
• Collaborate with other Business Analysts in the company to identify and scale best practices for data creation and and reporting management
• Participate in all stages of a program/project lifecycle - from ideation through project closure and post-implementation analysis.
• Use data to develop strategic frameworks that ensure the right people have the right insights at the right time to steer decision making.

SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS INSIGHTS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Demonstrated analytical and insights skills and proposing opportunities in a data driven approach
• Proven track record of problem solving and simplifying complexity
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and takes ownership of work
• Highly proficient in using a variety of data analysis and data visualization tools; including, but not limited to Metabase, Qlik, Tableau, Excel, and Google Analytics.
• BA/BS degree with mathematics, statistics, economics or similar
• Knowledge & Usage of SQL is a plus
• Expert ability to meet deadlines, manage costs, impact and influence business outcomes, handle multiple priorities and internal/external stakeholders.
• Effective stakeholder management and influencer, building relationships at all levels within the organization.
