Job Description

You work closely together with business teams in financial controlling, after-sales, sales, logistics and manufacturing and derive requirements from their needs. You use your knowledge in statistics and ML to build and integrate data models and visualizations to enable better data-driven business decisions. Your excellent communication skills help you explain complicated mathematical concepts to colleagues with different backgrounds.

Your tasks will be:

  • Creation of dashboards
  • Development of data pipelines
  • Creation of predictive models
  • Advising of the user departments concerning statistics and data analytics
  • Strong collaboration with the user departments and central IT departments

Qualifications

  • Education: university degree in the field of Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering or comparable
  • Personality: team-player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good communication skills and the willingness to explore new areas and learn new technologies, willingness to travel required
  • Working Practice: independently, motivated, analytical, goal-oriented, and pro-active
  • Experience and Knowledge:
    • solid programming skills (Python, SQL)
    • good knowledge in statistics and machine learning (time series models, regression models, experience with gradient boosted decision trees is a plus)
    • experience in processing structured data and construction of time series models (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
    • good knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL) and data models
    • experience in data visualization (e.g. Power BI)
    • basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
    • ideally, basic knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure)
    • basic knowledge of orchestrating and developing of ETL pipelines (e. g. Airflow, SSAS, Talend) is a plus
    • basic knowledge of SAP ERP, CRM, BW is an advantage
    • experience in automation of operating AI-/ML-applications is a plus
    • explainable AI (optional)
  • Enthusiasm: you actively support the transformation in Finance and Controlling through your personality
  • Languages: fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
