Description:This position is to support the Lower Tier IAMD Production efforts relative to PAC-3 subsystems electronics located at Lockheed Martin’s Grand Prairie Texas facility.
The applicant shall have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on General Digital and mixed-signal .
The successful candidate shall have demonstrated knowledge and experience with motor initiators, igniters, and associated ignition system safety devices.
The Candidate will provide technical oversight and monitoring of a major subcontract and related sub-tier subcontracts.
The Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members including the customers and contractors. The Candidate must be able to work in a collaborative IPT (Integrated Product Teams) environment and will be responsible for representing LM in several IPTs. The candidate must be a self-starter with good organizational skills. Previous integration and experience is desired. Experience across engineering disciplines is desired. Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired. The candidate should understand the concept of hardware obsolescence.
Travel to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier’s facilities, and customer facilities will be required. There will be approximately 5 trips per year with each trip lasting up to 5 days in duration.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Must have professional experience in electrical engineering related to ignition safety and/or fuse detonation device components.
Ability to understand schematics, generate interconnect diagrams, and troubleshoot hardware.
Ability to travel to production and customer sites.
Desired Skills:
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of professional experience OR a related Master's Degree with 7 years of professional experience.
Previous integration and experience is desired.
Desired experience with electrical subsystems and integration.
Experience across engineering disciplines is desired.
Experience in risk management and earned value management is desired.
The candidate should understand the concept of hardware obsolescence.
