We are seeking a driven Product Marketing Manager, like you, to define a marketing strategy and roadmap for solutions under the Verisk’s Commercial Lines Underwriting business. Here you’ll be working with a group of accomplished high-level professionals while deepening your knowledge and skills with an ever-expanding breadth of projects and the opportunity to make independent decisions. About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Marketing strategy - Define marketing strategy and execute on projects for a set of Commercial Lines insurance solutions. Focus on a holistic approach that markets a broad array of data and analytic solutions for insurance carriers.
  • Marketing execution – With the support of our marketing division’s shared services for writing, design, social media, and video productions, strategist will actively direct the creation of all marketing materials. All assets and tactics must support the strategy, including dynamic and interactive digital content in support of the buying experience, advertisements, web pages, reports, articles, reports, video content, webinars, and more.
  • Collaboration - Work closely and collaboratively with Commercial Lines Product and Sales management to develop effective commercial messaging and marketing plans. Responsible for developing and implementing metrics to measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns, plus market research.
  • Sales support - Conceive of and launch innovative lead generation campaigns using email marketing, digital content, web landing pages, online advertising, podcasts, video, advertising, and social media. Work with the product team and training representatives to develop product training events, sales enablement tools and other on-demand materials in support of sales efforts.
  • Marketing communications – Provide marketing strategy leadership for events, conferences, speaking engagements, and internal and external events for content experts.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiate products in the market
  • Sales enablement – through content communicate the business value of solutions to customers and develop the material to support the sales process
  • Product launch – plan the launch and go-to-market strategies for product releases. Manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan to ensure all internal stakeholders are prepared for product releases.
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on the competition and how beat them
  • Market research – conduct research to specify market needs and requirements for current and future product opportunities.
  • Demand generation – develop strategies and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products
  • Support the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in this Role

Requirements:

  • BA in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Five or more years of strategic marketing and/or marketing/product management experience in the technology and/or P&C insurance industry or with an agency.
  • Demonstrated success of marketing strategy development and implementation across multiple channels.
  • Ability to build relationships with and lead cross-functional teams consisting of professionals with a variety of diverse roles, including senior managers, sales, product management, marketing operations, and more.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and business problem solving skills, including ROI analysis and customer segmentation.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills; ability to distill complex concepts into language that is understandable and compelling to business decision makers.
  • Driven, self-motivated and self-directed; comfortable leading and working with teams, but also independently to complete projects.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills are critical.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to manage priorities on multiple projects with tight deadlines while achieving exceptional results.
  • Ability to travel if needed
