About the Role

We are seeking to hire a manager for our SEO and Website Optimization team who will be in charge of overseeing employees responsible for optimizing our client websites.

FareHarbor’s business model requires that users utilize our software to book online. For this reason it is in FareHarbor’s best interest that our clients have websites that are easy to find, easy to navigate and that drive online conversions. With this interest in mind, FareHarbor offers free websites to our qualified clients to help improve their web presence and online bookings.

As the manager of the SEO and Website Optimization team, you will oversee a team of optimization specialists, SEO specialists and SEO Strategists. You will guide them in auditing client websites and providing, implementing and reporting on optimization opportunities. Projects may include keyword optimizations, local search opportunities, content audits and UX audits. You will review team work and share your knowledge and expertise in SEO, UX and Conversion strategy to help team members grow their own skills.

You will develop project plans and work with the Account Management team to schedule, execute and report on the success of these projects. To be successful in this role you should be an expert in SEO, and have strong experience in user experience and user interface design principles and their application in web design.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Define the strategic vision of optimizing client websites alongside the Director of FareHarbor Sites, Account Management and other internal stakeholders
  • Execute on the strategic vision of optimizing client websites in order to grow online traffic and sales through SEO, keyword, content, local SEO and UX audits.
  • Recognize team needs and be willing to jump in in the short term to make sure tasks are completed and projects are completed by set deadlines.
  • Report on the impact of individual and team wide projects using Google Analytics and internal FareHarbor data
  • Review team members deliverables and provide feedback to promote accuracy, learning, growth to improve performance for the individual and team
  • Monitor team workflow for operational accuracy, efficiency, improvements and opportunities for growth.
  • Set measurable performance objectives with direct reports that align with departmental and company goals and ensure follow-through to successful completion.
  • Provide regular and actionable performance feedback to employees, aligning expectations and guiding corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Collaborate intra- and inter-departmentally to identify process/project inefficiencies, solve problems and to create a more cohesive environment.
  • Communicate project progress, resource needs, project risks and blockers to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain appropriate and transparent communication to team on company objectives, project updates, project expectations, expectations, etc.
  • Stay up to date on SEO, UX and Conversion best practices. Be a thought leader within FareHarbor, sharing your knowledge both inside and outside your team.

Competencies

  • Expert level experience with SEO
  • Expert level experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with reporting
  • Have experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Weebly, Wix, Joomla, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Wordpress, etc.
  • Understand and stay up to date with website best practices
  • Desire the challenge of a new puzzle every day
  • Are comfortable taking ownership over a project
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Have the desire to improve and grow within the organization
  • Have had experience with growing clients/portfolios
  • Think critically and strategically on how to increase conversions

Required Education and Experience

  • 4+ years experience in an SEO role
  • 4+ years experience in a website related role
  • 2+ years management experience
  • Certified in Google analytics or equivalent certification

Salary Range: $76,320-$95,400, plus 10% bonus potential
