Project Controls Analyst will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of projects of varying type, size and complexity. Responsibilities will include managing the Integrated Master Schedule IMS), assisting in the formulation of program processes for baseline change management, risk management, financial analysis & reporting, variance analysis, procurement and material management, business case analysis development, schedule development and management, cost estimating and requirements management; work breakdown structure (WBS) development including related dictionaries; establishment of cost/schedule baselines; performing ETC/EAC calculations; lead training sessions to educate program team members on developed processes; conduct individual mentoring sessions to assist program team members with conforming to developed processes; identification of areas for improvement as processes are matured across the organization; and preparation of written and verbal reports to management.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
• Expertise in designing and developing integrated and resource loaded schedules using Microsoft Project 2012 or newer.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to export, maintain, and refine data for cost reporting.
• Experience with cost accounting principles related to earned value management, specifically variance analysis.
• Experience evaluating project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
• Experience interacting with customers, managers, operation leaders, financial controller and EVM analyst.
• Must be willing and able to work with minimal direction
• Must be very proactive and regularly go above and beyond basic requirements
• Must have written and verbal communication skills
• Control Account Manager in an EVMS environment
• Management or Project Controls roll in a DCMA EVMS approved environment
Desired Skills:
• Development and implementation of program level processes (ex. Change Management, Risk, etc.)
• Training and mentoring experience w/ lower level and senior management personnel
• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Development including associated dictionaries
• ETC/EAC development
• Variance analysis and reporting
• Project Manager in an EVMS environment
• Demonstrated ability to organize, implement and maintain scheduling management system supporting identified projects and their plans.
• Experience developing and updating monthly interval schedule working with engineers.
• Experience supporting project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
• Experience assisting project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
• Risk Management
• Proficiency w/ MS Office Suite (Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)
• Utilization of SharePoint to manage files
