Job Description

Card Design and Innovations function is part of the CEMEA Marketing department. Its purpose is to protect the Visa brand, to maintain the brand promise of global acceptance, ensuring that all cards issued in the CEMEA region will be accepted, whilst strengthening Brand Equity. This is an agile, highly visible function that works closely with internal and external parties to address the varied card design needs of our clients.

An ideal candidate is someone with a passion for design thinking and human-centered approach to design, detail-oriented, proven project management skills, appetite to learn and a desire to have fun. He/she will be well versed in project management and tracking tools, with an ability to multi-task and support a dynamic work environment. Primarily role of the position is to support the Card Design reviews to ensure that issuers and manufacturers comply with Visa Product Brand Standards (VPBS) and Visa International Operating Regulations (VIOR) for cards and other payment devices.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review daily submissions of Visa card and payment device designs and artwork from clients and manufacturers in CEMEA region in line with agreed SLA’s.
  • Maintain automation tools/frameworks, identify, record and document thoroughly the issues and track bugs with BMAS IT team.
  • Assist with monthly client billing cycles.
  • Maintain and update documentation that communicates the standards and procedures for payment card manufacturers.
  • Support in the management of affinity and co-brand program applications and approvals.
  • Provide support to the Client Marketing team in resolving card design and card innovation queries and issues raised by internal and external stakeholders, ensuring exceptions are quickly escalated as necessary
  • Support the Global Card Design team with the management of the regional card design help desk and technical testing.

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to CEMEA Brand, Card Design and Innovation Senior Manager Key Competencies and working relationships
  • Teamwork and collaboration – works with others across organization to maximize group effectiveness, achieve optimum performance and minimize duplication of effort
  • Interpersonal effectiveness – Interacts effectively and respectfully with others in the workplace
  • Client focused – focuses efforts on cultivating client relationships and managing client expectations to achieve business objectives
  • Business Acumen – demonstrates a strong business focus and understanding of Visa and banking industry business environment
  • Works with Visa Country Sales, Product, Brand Marketing, Operating Regulation, Legal and Licensing teams
  • Works with external vendors such as Card manufacturers, personalizers and issuers

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree or experience within the payment cards industry (ideal).
 Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and any other CEMEA regional language
 Well organized, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
 Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
 Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
 Ability to translate challenges into solutions, ideas and opportunities
 Proven success in a fast-paced, high output environment
