Performance Test Architect - Resiliency

As a Performance Architect, you play a key role in helping build and scale our products to achieve optimal performance. You play a significant role in architecting enterprise level Performance testing solutions, tooling and strategy across our product portfolio. You are passionate to optimize Performance bottlenecks and will collaborate with our cross-division stakeholders like Solution Architect, Engineers, and Product Owner to review Application architecture, design and implement tests to evaluate and improve performance of both On-Premise/ Cloud native services and applications.

This hybrid position can be based in Malvern, PA (HQ), Charlotte, NC, or Dallas, TX.

In this role you will:

• Architect solutions for continuous Performance testing in the pipeline and build a self-service performance and scalability evaluation model for micro services
• Design, Code, build and execute Performance Test suites and provide technical assistance to improve system availability, performance, and scalability.
• Analyze user journey and workloads and architect Performance Test Solutions or high Business impact
• Build performance and scale Test plans based on domain, architecture and product stack.
• Implement a dynamic performance Reporting solution, implement readable Testing results, build Performance Dashboard and analytics and assert the tests against SLO/SLI.
• Write code to support our existing solutions. build & maintain Performance Test Scenario libraries, integration of testing results,
• Collaborate with performance Engineers, Software Engineering teams to assess tooling, develop best practices for authoring robust performance tests script and architect automated Test strategy for Volume, load and stress testing.
• Architect and implement relevant simulators to ingest large scale data.
• Lead in root cause analysis of performance bottlenecks with profiling tools and tackle problems of load, scale.
• Assist in design, implementation, testing and documentation of software to prepare for disruptions

What it takes:

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
• 10+ years of proven experience in Performance Engineering focusing on Performance, scale.
• Strong Analytical and Programming skills and expert in any scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience working in cloud / enterprise architecture, Performance testing & knowledge of current best in class pipeline tools and platforms.
• Experience in Architecting End to End Performance Test solutions and deriving NFR for various systems and components involved.
• Experience in building NFT strategy at an enterprise scale.
• Advance Knowledge in modern Performance Testing tool stack such as Locust, Jmeter, Blazemeter, Neload or similar, APM/ Observability tools.
• Working knowledge of Public Cloud Providers platforms and services as well as complex multi-technology solutions with hybrid architectures (cloud and on-prem)
• Good understanding of non-functional variety of tests (scalability, capacity, volume, chaos, etc.) and approaches
• Experience in building/ testing distributed applications in different technologies
• Strong relationship management, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work with attention to detail under tight time constraints

Experience with IT support services and related infrastructure solutions, capabilities, and technologies with some or all the following is a plus:

• AWS container platforms (ECS/EKS) and CI/CD platforms, Docker/ GIthub, artifactory
• AWS serverless, DB, and storage platforms
• Distributed Computing Hardware Technologies
• Network Technologies – SDN, Ethernet Fabrics, Firewalls, Load Balancers, WAN, WiFi, etc.
• Directory Services – Active Directory/LDAP
• SAN Storage Solutions
• Virtual Desktops Solutions (VDI)
• Telemetry tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Honeycomb etc
• Issue tracking, project management, and requirements tracking systems, i.e., ServiceNow and Jira
