This is a paid full-time internship with options of working hybrid/ onsite in our Austin or San Diego office, or 100% remote. Join us for an incredible experience! By joining the Quasar team, you’ll be a part of the effort to modernize the Evernote infrastructure using Google Cloud technologies, NodeJS, Typescript and many other technologies. If asynchronous data sync and storage, offline/optimistic graph mutations, and agile SDLC methodologies are in your interests, the Quasar team can help you be immersed in it.

What you'll do

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies
  • Participate in collaborative software design discussions
  • Develop data handling features that will improve the UX of millions of users using NodeJS and Typescript
  • Create automated tests of features using Mocha and Chai to help ensure high quality functionality and reduce the risk of regressions
  • Learn how to give and receive constructive code reviews
  • Learn how to keep modern software up-to-date and well maintained
  • Help debug and fix application bugs as they arise
  • Use CD tools such as Kubernetes
  • Create visually informative service health and monitoring dashboards

What you've done

To be qualified for this role, you will need to have experience in the following technologies:
  • NodeJS (including NPM), Typescript use preferred
  • Git
  • Cloud computing (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
  • Docker
  • Unit and integration test development

  • Able to learn new technologies, tools and platforms quickly
  • Strong communication skills: as an intern you’ll be treated as a full member of the team you work with, so it’s important that you be able to communicate your ideas effectively
  • You are committed to writing reliable, scalable, testable and maintainable code
  • You work comfortably with people in different time zones
  • You have self-driven determination to complete tasks
  • You work well with teams and help those around you improve
  • Willing and able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
