We are seeking a Regional RN Manager-OP Wound Care and Hyperbaric Services - Enterostomal Therapy and Wound Care that will develop and manages high quality, cost effective wound care, hyperbaric services, programs and specialty clinics in a variety of service environments. Functions as an active regional management team member in evaluating, directing and promoting comprehensive services which demonstrate quality outcomes. Leadership responsibilities include human resource management, business management and program development responsibilities.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage department budgets
  • Ensure program compliance for all service lines and disciplines including meeting all criteria for The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory and accreditation bodies
  • Participate in the overall strategic planning process for regional wound and hyperbaric services
  • Oversee operations of the hospital outpatient wound clinics and hyperbaric services
  • Manage wound care and hyperbaric service lines at Providence Portland, Providence St Vincent, Providence Milwaukie, and Providence Newberg wound care clinics to develop processes and procedures that ensure patients are connected to appropriate and timely outpatient wound services based on their individual needs
  • Work with Wound Services Medical Director on projects focused on positioning outpatient wound and hyperbaric services well to ensure sufficient access for patients now and into the future
  • Identify and develop operational, clinical, and quality best practices for hospital outpatient wound services and leads the implementation of standardized practices across the Oregon Region
  • Set and track regular wound goals and key performance indicators
  • Provides performance management feedback needed to grow the professional capabilities of the wound care and hyperbaric teams
  • Identify the needs of nursing and ancillary departments that provide patient care as it relates to the strategic plan, departmental objectives and support of clinical and management decisions
  • Identify methods to support or enhance nursing practice, patient throughput, and overall patient outcomes
  • Set Nursing Practice Standards based on scientific and research-based principles
  • Recruit and selects new team members
  • Ensure the hospital outpatient wound and hyperbaric clinics provide cost effective and high quality services for patients/clients who have individual needs and expectations for care and services
  • Supervise and promotes patient-centered care across multiple patient care environments
  • Partner with the Medical and site Nursing Directors of Wound Care to provide leadership support, training, and performance management needed to achieve referral goals and grow revenue through specific strategies
  • Promote effective operational relationships with other patient care teams and clinics to support a positive patient experience
  • Support and performs performance management activities
  • Effectively communicates with a variety of stakeholders including physicians and leaders with individual styles, practices, treatment protocols and expectations
  • Maximize opportunities for Wound Care Services while responding to changes in Health Care delivery system including changes in payer policies and developments in wound care and hyperbaric services

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Oregon
  • Current AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Five (5) years of Clinical nursing experience with at least 2-3 years work experience in Wound Care and or hyperbaric
  • Three (3) years of Experience in nursing leadership preferably in wound care and or hyperbaric including people management

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, business or related field
  • Certified in Wound Care
