About the Role: Quizlet’s Benefits & Compensation Manager is responsible for managing our compensation and benefits programs to deliver on a core element of our employee value proposition. This position will direct and plan the day-to-day operations of all compensation and benefits activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and executive leaders. About You: You are an expert when it comes to compensation, benefits, total rewards, and equity in venture-backed pre-IPO tech organizations. You’re a strategic thinker with a high level of integrity. You use data and metrics to drive decision making and are comfortable being the champion of the Quizlet’s compensation philosophy and employee benefits programs.

In this role, you will:

    • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of global compensation and equity programs inclusive of employee compensation, commission and bonus programs, and equity incentives plans
    • Oversee the management of Quizlet's pay bands, external benchmarks, levels, and titles through the review and selection of relevant market data
    • Partner with managers to level and align jobs to our compensation structure
    • Build and maintain compensation systems and tools to support our compensation review process
    • Conduct ongoing market analysis (e.g. Radford, Pave, etc.) to ensure competitiveness and regular pay analysis to ensure internal parity
    • Collaborate with the Recruiting and People Ops teams to design and train on competitive job offers while maintaining internal team equity
    • Design, manage and administer benefits, well-being and perks programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage; Flexible Spending Accounts, commuter benefits, COBRA, leaves of absence, and wellness benefits
    • Own benefits & perks enrollment, communications, system administration, and employee education resources in partnership with benefits brokers
    • Regularly review usage and market trends to design and deliver meaningful, cohesive, and inclusive benefits that are market competitive
    • Oversee benefits compliance requirements and ensure completion of regulatory reporting and audit projects
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to set and manage Total Rewards budget requirements

What you bring to the table:

    • 6+ years of experience designing and managing compensation, equity, and benefits programs preferred
    • 3+ years of experience leading Total Rewards for a growing organization
    • Strong experience with stock options and incentive compensation
    • Extensive knowledge of Employee Benefits design, oversight and administration
    • Experience presenting to executives and partnering with them
    • Tech startup experience preferred
    • You have a keen eye for detail, are rigorous in your data analysis, and take the time to make sure that data is accurate and communications are clear
    • You always consider the broader implications of decisions or process changes
    • You easily establish relationships and are trusted by people at all levels within the organization
    • You are just as comfortable operating at a strategic level as you are at a tactical one
    • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $111,000 - $180,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
