What we're looking for

We're looking for a Design System Designer who is inspired to create solutions that help designers and are passionate about raising the bar for UI design. This is an opportunity to apply your design craft and systems thinking toward components and frameworks that Designers love to use. This is a central role that reports into Product Design and Research. You will work with a collaborative Engineering team to empower Designers and Engineers across the company.

You will

• Create pixel-perfect UI elements and organize them in an easy-to-use UI library for Designers to use.
• Help increase adoption by developing documentation that empowers designers to benefit from the design system (usage guidelines, examples, diagrams)
• Weave together seemingly separate requirements/use cases into elegant, scalable patterns and solutions.
• Help scale and evolve our design system.
• Build collaborative, influential relationships and processes with other designers, Engineering, Research, Content Strategy, and other cross-functional peers to solve problems

You have

• At least two years of relevant industry experience. Bachelor's in user experience design, interaction design, graphic design, human factors engineering, or related fields.
• A portfolio demonstrating your passion for simple and beautiful user-centered designs. Work examples should showcase your visual and interaction design skills, demonstrate systems thinking, and show how your work was impactful.
• Excellence in communicating your designs, approach, and rationale for design decisions to partners. A hunger for feedback from both fellow designers and cross-functional peers & leadership.
• Experience working with and influencing other Designers to help them solve their unique challenges.
• Expertise with Figma (or similar design authoring tools). Curiosity for new tools and technologies to incorporate into or inform your work.
• Knowledge of HTML & CSS
