Overview:
Siemens Mobility, Inc. Rolling Stock is seeking a professional Financial Analyst to support the Commercial Team, with a proven track record with complex cost controlling.
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the project controlling of a Passenger Coach project circa $500+M in value and durations from 5-8 years.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the project controlling and financial compliance for assigned departments during all phases of execution including planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and customer acceptance. Duties include liasing with operational departments to ensure Order Income Calculation is achieved, while meeting goals for customer satisfaction, cost, schedule and quality. This position reports to the Director, FBA, Passenger Coaches/Trainsets.
Responsibilities:
· Profit & loss for assigned departments.
· Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems, and liase with project team to devise contingency plans from a cost perspective.
· Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
· Support month end process, issuing of purchase orders, resolution of Accounts Payable queries and submittal of customer invoices.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
· Required education: College diploma or equivalent experience required.
· Required experience: 3+ years of successful Financial Analyst experience in complex cost/financial controlling.
· Other requirements:
o Excellent commercial, oral and written communication skills; must be able to demonstrate presentation skills.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
· Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
o Experience in controlling and accounting, contracts and claims experience with rail vehicle commercial project management preferred.
