The role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Consumer Marketing Programs across the Market Archetype of XB (focus on Middle East & Africa) and being a partner to various consumer stakeholders including sales, partnerships, product, GTM, etc. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes that drive the commercial growth.
PayPal Singapore is the Headquarters for the PayPal International Marketing Team - where we have customers and local teams servicing our customers in numerous countries across the Regions of Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. XB Network (XB stands for Cross-border trade) marketing team is part of International marketing team and focuses on supporting 100+ markets where PayPal has strong XB value proposition.
The role of the XB network Marketing Team is to:
- Build and localize differentiated and sustainable market positioning for the PayPal Brand with consumers and merchants
- Acquire new customers and grow value of the new customer cohort
- Build engagement with existing customers to grow customer value
- Develop, enable and grow mutually beneficial commercial partnerships in region that enhance our product and service offering for consumers and merchants
- Partner with regional sales teams to support growth in the Middle East & Africa regions
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Partner with the Regional/Country Sales Leaders to agree a plan and engagement model to deliver the network KPIs & growth targets for the market
- Partner with LE sales teams to develop & execute bespoke marketing programs for strategic flywheel merchants
- Localize the global events and partnership calendar to include local retail, cultural and social events to build out a comarketing program for the sales team that creates reach and engagement opportunities for merchants in the market
- Execute the common marketing programs with excellence for each defined customer cohort and partner with the growth & creative labs to imaginatively localize through channel selection and contextual messaging to connect with local customers in a culturally resonant way
- Partner with the Global Partnership team to execute global partnerships and events and part of the customer contact strategy
- Provide localization requirements to Consumer Marketing HUB team on dimensions of; Product mix, regulatory requirements, strategic merchant mix and cultural sensitivities
- Manage the overall localization of the value proposition for the market and the management of the customer contact strategy
- Contribute to delivering NNA and Customer Engagement targets for the XB Cluster of Markets
- Owning and managing the budget ensuring alignment of investment and allocation of resources to the best opportunities for growth.
Experiences and Skills
- 8-10 years marketing experience
- Experience In consumer marketing within the Middle East / Africa region is a must
- Experience in commercial partnerships is a must
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce and/or Marketing (preferred not mandatory)
- Highly analytical, commercially oriented and motivated by business impact
- Highly strategic and great problem solver
- Highly structured, with strong planning and organizing skills. Strong prioritization skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in working in a global matrixed environment
- Can work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, high change agility
- Motivated by enabling others’ success and experience in business partnering
