Overview

We are excited to announce this new position opening within our research division for a Program Coordinator II that will be responsible for coordinating activities associated with our Office for Teaching Education and Research ( OTER ) program.

The Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Program Manager, Research HR and other program staff from the Center for Diversity and Health Equity (CDHE) as well as other stakeholders to help to implement the program’s objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement processes. This is an exciting program dedicated to students from varying degree levels (e.g. undergraduate, medical, graduate) as well as dedicated to serving our research postdoctoral fellows in support of their research career as well as of their experience here at Seattle Children’s to be very successful! Job responsibilities include scheduling, coordination of communication, data management, document preparation, and process improvement associated with OTER services. Responsible for ensuring effective communication among stakeholders and program staff. May help manage data on the program’s effectiveness. Alongside the Program manager, help coordinate the deployment of the program’s strategy including implementing a variety of solutions that optimize OTER’s program effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have previous program coordination experience including event planning and support, strong interest and passion for equity work and programs and/or previous experience supporting equity/diversity; the candidate would also have great attention to detail and great organizational skills. In addition, it will be important for the program coordinator to have strong collaboration skills and be someone that thrives in an environment where connections and effective partnerships with various groups are a must.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- 2 years college coursework in Business, Healthcare, Human Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years program coordination support experience; including at least 1 year of experience organizing multiple projects through to completion
- Successful track record convening and facilitating dialogue with multiple and diverse stakeholders
- Experience with: drafting, editing and developing communications and/or reports; data analysis and data entry
Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Services or related field
- Experience working in an academic environment with Faculty and students; preferred experience working with equity diversity and inclusion programs; and/or experience in program coordination roles in public health, health care/research or social services

Experience working on continuous process improvement projects and/or interest in continuous improvement / lean methodology

strong experience in event planning and coordination
