Office Manager

Our Madrid office is growing fast, expanding the team with a wider range of profiles and doubling our office space. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic Office Manager, highly organized, responsible and creative to join our team and play a key role in keeping the best, most fun and most efficient work environment for the growing team of people. Proactivity and autonomy are key to our culture. Someone who is eager and experienced to proactively manage the many changes and needs of a fast-paced growing office, to deliver a flawless Adyen experience to employees, customers and partners, sharing the Adyen formula every day.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide a welcoming environment for all staff and visitors, internal and external.
  • Own the working environment and atmosphere in Madrid: maintain the very high standard, and further identify, agree and put in practice opportunities to improve an exceptional workplace experience, including activities ( internal employee events to help drive our culture and drive global initiatives locally) , additional employee local benefits. Play a key role in increasing the attractiveness of Adyen as an employer in Madrid and the goal to become a certified top performer in the different “best companies to work for” rankings.
  • Ensure the Madrid office runs smoothly, including day-to-day items such as supplier management (including food, maintenance, cleaning), being the key point of contact for any office related questions (reception, meeting and conference rooms, office equipment, catering) as well as office administration (mail, courier, office and IT supplies)
  • Be responsible for all facilities, projects related with office layout, maintenance, improvements, on-brand design developments and activities as well as manage the fire and first aid safety framework. We are also starting a refurbishment of extra space to double the floor space of our office.
  • Be our sustainability champion for the office and the team; inspire and propose initiatives to foster sustainability both locally as well as potentially propose ideas to global offices.
  • Support the Marketing team on external events/conferences, coordinating Adyen’s participation and driving subsequent follow-up activities.

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years’ experience of working in a comparable office management role.
  • Positive, independent and proactive - you get things done with little supervision. You bring energy to work and enjoy working in a team. Outgoing, friendly and fun.
  • You are a highly motivated team player where winning is more important than ego; yet you are highly organized, with good attention to detail.
  • With ability to prioritize, initiate, drive and execute both short and long term projects and to work on multiple tasks in fast-growing, quickly changing company.
  • You have great communication skills and are able to work seamlessly with a diverse and multicultural team.
  • Very fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English.
