Quizlet offers an exciting 2022 Summer Internship Program from either June 6th - August 12th or June 27th - September 2nd. Our program is a 10-week paid internship that focuses on enabling students to advance their professional preparation through work experience, professional development, and mentorship. We have a fun summer planned for you with several events and workshops. You will work on real projects, features, and updates that will contribute to Quizlet and impact our 50 million+ users. While Quizlet has offices in San Francisco, CA, Denver CO, and NYC,
our internship program will be fully remote. About the Design Team: The design team at Quizlet is passionate about creating high-quality experiences that help people learn, study, and achieve their goals. Our team includes product designers, user researchers, and UX writers. Some of the technologies we use are Figma and Usertesting.
In this internship, you will:
- Collaborate and work with other Product Designers to craft and iterate on “Core” and “Growth” team user experiences
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges
- Conduct user research to test a hypothesis or get an early signal on design approaches
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to inform your designs, rapidly iterate, and optimize experiences
- Work to design experiences that are useful, usable, and delightful
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in UX and product design; Ability to provide a portfolio of work samples
- Strong product sensibility
- An understanding of UX, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design
- A strong, proactive hustle
- A humble attitude and a growth mindset
- Effective communication skills (oral, written, and visual)
- Love and care for your craft
- Most importantly, excitement about the impact your work could have on the lives of students around the world!
- Rising Seniors or Senior status (preferred)
Bonus points if you have:
- Knowledge and understanding of design systems
- Experience in motion design and animation
- Experience developing wireframes and prototypes
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
- Some technical fluency with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Compensation:
- Colorado candidates: Base pay for this role starts at $20 per hour. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience
