Your Impact:

Handshake is hiring a Field Marketing Coordinator on the Employer Marketing Team. You’ll be responsible for supporting day-to-day logistics for our portfolio of virtual and in-person field events - executive roundtables, enablement webinars, our flagship conference (Access), third-party strategic events and other ad-hoc integrated field marketing campaigns. Most activities are expected to be virtual for now due to Covid-19, with opportunities to travel in-person for select events.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work with the extended Marketing Team (Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Corporate Marketing), our Field Teams (SDRs, AE’s, CSM’s and AM’s) as well as external vendors and contractors.

This is a high-growth opportunity to be a key contributor in the execution of our ambitious goals and have a huge impact as we build a truly world-class SaaS platform to democratize access to careers for students.

Your Role:

  • Support Field Marketing & Event team across a variety of virtual and in-person events and sponsorship executions
  • In partnership with Marketing Operations create event campaigns within Salesforce and ensure proper tracking
  • Create and build event landing pages in Splash
  • Support with budget tracking and invoicing. In partnerships with Field Marketing Managers, liaise with legal to help execute contracts.
  • Manage back-end virtual event operations using Zoom Webinar and Hopin including setup and testing
  • Maintain and ensure Field Marketing & Event calendar is up to date
  • Own the strategy for Handshake’s swag store including inventory management
  • Support and advise on general field marketing activities including but not limited to: social media promotion, development of target account invitation lists, event and vendor research, competitor intel
  • Contribute to tracking event marketing best practices, monitoring industry trends, and making recommendations for growth
  • Eventually facilitate preparation for on-site events (printing, shipping, setup, etc.)

Your Experience:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability in a Sales or Marketing role in the technology sector (software industry experience preferred); Event planning experience a plus
  • Strong project and program management skills; ability to work independently against tight deadlines, set priorities, problem-solve and improvise
  • A sense of creativity to push boundaries
  • Outcome oriented mentality
  • Passion for Handshake’s mission and opening up access to opportunity for all students

Bonus Areas of Expertise:

  • Experience with a project management tool like Asana and SFDC a plus
  • Previous event planning experience
  • Previous vendor management
