PayPal is seeking an experienced marketer to drive customer acquisition and loyalty strategies for its Global Merchant Lending products including PayPal Business Loan and PayPal Working Capital in the U.S. You will play a central role—working with channel leads (digital display, email, mail, social, telemarketing, etc.) and campaign management to orchestrate end-to-end marketing strategy and plans for key product and campaign launches. You have experience across multiple marketing communications disciplines and can toggle seamlessly between the importance of the PayPal brand values and our product features. Candidates should be well versed in business case development, project management, A/B testing strategy, creative asset development, as well as have a strong understanding of marketing analytics to drive towards data-based decisions.
Responsibilities
- Create go-to-market strategies for Small Business (SB) and Mid-Market (MM) businesses including segmentation, targeting, channels, creative direction, and metrics.
- Align stakeholders on plans, including risk, channel managers, sales, legal, compliance, finance, campaign management, SB and MM segment teams.
- Plan and oversee budget for plans.
- Build strong relationships with SB and MM teams on cross-sell initiatives.
- Work with modelers and analytics to create personalization & targeting strategies that best optimize usage of limited inventory impressions for acquisition.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize experiences throughout the acquisition funnel to increase conversion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing – financial services background is a plus.
- Bachelor degree required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven track record of defining, executing & measuring marketing strategies & tactics in digital & direct response channels.
- Experience developing creative strategy & messaging.
- Expertise in direct response email marketing, familiarity with ESPs, mobile optimization & overall email best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously on tight timelines.
- A data-based approach to strategy creation & prior experience developing targeted & segmented plans.
- Strong interpersonal & influencing skills to drive business priorities within the larger organization as well as to work with cross-functional partners to win as one team.
- Ability to evaluate & optimize the entire customer journey from top of funnel entry points through application, to conversion, and repeat buy.
- Comfort functioning with ambiguity & ever-changing product/business landscapes, seizing opportunities proactively.
- Develop and deliver effective internal briefs to cross-disciplinary channel teams, ensuring plans champion the customer, leverage the brand promise, and are tied to business objectives.
