What we’re Looking For:

The Learning & Development Partner reports directly to the VP of People. In this highly visible role, the L&D Partner will collaborate closely with our People Team and leaders throughout the business to ensure that Uptakers rapidly gain and practice the knowledge and skills they need to achieve individual and enterprise-wide goals. As Learning and Development Partner, you will be responsible for internal learning consulting, instructional design and delivery of our L&D programs. The Learning & Development Partner will drive alignment of internal learning content, by creating a unique and robust learning and development environment that aligns with our business needs and goals.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver content using multiple learning methodologies and instructional design principles to promote learning, development, job aids and on-the-job training
  • Act as internal consultant to identify emerging trends and learning topics by applying them to our L&D philosophy and the rebuilding of Uptake University
  • The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with leaders, managers and employees
  • Manage projects to build effective soft-skills, leadership development and management development solutions
  • Create framework for creating and updating training materials as needed, ensuring leadership approval of new content, timely implementation of new learning concepts, and deep understanding of what changed/what’s new/what’s on the horizon through constant feedback loop with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and partner on the creation of a communication and change management strategy about the L&D function
  • Keep current on best L&D practices, thought leadership, research to ensure our L&D is best in class and cutting edge
  • Develop L&D metrics, both qualitative and quantitative data to measure engagement and impact to the business
  • Manage annual compliance/legal training for our US and international operations
  • Utilize our LMS to build and maintain a learning hub for the company
  • Ability to recognize when to work with the team on other ad hoc projects and requests for learning and development and other People Team initiatives.

  • Able to operate individually and as part of an agile team; effectively set expectations, manage work and deliver results
  • Deep understanding of Learning Management System marketplace
  • Unparalleled attention to detail
  • Key sense of emotional intelligence, including how to display grace under pressure
  • Experience within start-up/high growth companies, specifically in SaaS, AI, Data Analytics and Machine Learning
  • 5-7 years of experience in an L&D role
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
