This role is for an established Procurement professional. Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. This person will be working in the lighting solutions business and will be a part of several step change NPI's happening to move into LED Products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible to manage all New Product Introductions and Value engineering projects for Lighting Business
• Responsible for all aspects of the sourcing and development for new projects working across commodities, primarily electronics.
• Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the product family.
• Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
• Plans and organizes all elements of product manufacturing and distribution related to the acquisition of materials and services.
• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Responds to internal customer inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Prepares request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
• Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries
• Negotiates contracts with suppliers in partnership with legal team to secure long term expectations of the program/project

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with New Product Introduction
• Prior engineering experience or experience working with electronics
