Clever is looking for a Product Marketing Manager for Teachers to join our team. This role is excited about understanding the ins and outs of teachers - what excites them, what’s top of mind —and how Clever can solve their biggest pain points. You have deep customer empathy and back up your insights with data from the product, NPS surveys, and market research.
This position includes both inbound and outbound product marketing and collaborates closely with product and success teams to drive Clever’s core business. You’ll develop the product marketing programs to help boost teacher engagement and unlock new ways to learn with Clever. This position reports to the Manager of Product Marketing, Districts.
A day in the life:
- Research : Deeply understand our key audience, teachers, and how Clever can support their day-to-day jobs through first-party interviews, third-party research, and usage data from Clever.
- Marketing strategy: Set and lead the go to market strategy for new and existing products for teachers using data to set goals, inform strategy, and optimize our programs
- Storytelling: As a great storyteller, you’ll develop brand and product narratives that resonate with our customers, and build marketing programs that delights, educates, inspires and drives impact.
- Campaign planning and execution: Develop a strategic annual calendar of integrated marketing moments, including messaging, sales enablement, and marketing programs, that resonate with teachers and drive awareness, adoption, and ongoing product usage.
- Cross functional collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, such as product, engineering, design, customer success, and executive leadership to lead go-to-market and achieve our business goals.
- Content: Lead the development of key customer assets such as case studies based on audience research and insight.
- Build Clever’s Brand through community: Create and inspire a community of teachers and district champions via various channels (like events) to evangelize Clever.
- Data-driven marketing: Use data, research, key metrics and engagement patterns to fully understand customers, influence their behavior, to plan strategic campaigns, and measure performance of marketing programs.
Your experience and skills include:

- 3-4 years marketing experience with the ability to tailor messages and stories to specific audiences
- Experience as a K-12 teacher is a big plus
- Entrepreneurial in nature and interested in testing new ways to engage teachers
- Demonstrated experience building community of evangelists
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with storytelling, messaging, and communications for customers
- Experience driving business outcomes through data
- Analytical and problem-solving in nature, ready to tackle complex problems with a cross-functional team
- Experience distilling technical products, such as an API, to a general audience
- A passion for education

For Colorado* based candidates - The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in Colorado is between $95,000 - $112,000, final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise. We offer a full robust benefits package and stock options. Because Clever’s base compensation is driven by location, our recruiters will be happy to discuss a salary range for other locations during the interview process.
