We generate revenue in two ways: (1) from monthly or annual subscription fees (SaaS) paid to us by our Creators for access to the platform; and (2) from transaction fees calculated as a percent of the value of courses and services sold by Creators through our platform. We currently support over 40,000 Creators who have collectively sold over $1 billion in courses and coaching on Teachable. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Education team. In 2021, we launched a new service targeting Creators with large followings. In this role, you will get to work directly with seasoned creators and help manage the development and launch of their first online course. Your involvement will include everything from managing logistics and timelines, to overseeing the marketing and production process. Reporting to our Education leads, you will be responsible for project managing various creator course launches. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with creators powering the Creator Economy and join a new team at Teachable.
What You'll Do:
- Work with an Education lead to map out a strategic course launch plan
- Update contract templates and send to creators and freelancers
- Project Manage all tasks and deliverables needed to launch a course
- Work with Teachable’s finance team to ensure smooth and timely payment of contractors, freelances and other vendors and also monitor project budgets
- Oversee a team of freelancers (including copywriters, designers, developers, videographers, and virtual assistants)
- Review marketing assets with an Education lead and provide feedback to relevant freelancers
- Be the central point of contact for the new course creators
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of project management experience
- 2+ years working with multiple stakeholders or freelancers
- Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects with various clients simultaneously
- Experience launching online or digital products is a plus
- Familiarity of the Creator Economy or online creators not essential but helpful
