Preferred Candidate Skillset:

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functionally and speak on the behalf of the entire supply chain from a purchasing, commodity, work transfer and compliance perspective
  • Able to understand and interpret technical requirements, electronics, motors, machined components and missile program flow-down.
  • Supply Chain focal for all PMR reviews with Lockheed Martin.
  • Support of proposal activities – supplier quotations, price negotiations:
  • Support finance for all quote, analysis, negotiation and margin target activities.
  • Experience with FAR15 proposals.
  • Risk and opportunity management at key suppliers (CCAs, motors, ballscrews, potentiometers, housings)
  • Facilitate all program SRA upkeep, management, and the overall implementation plan for performance improvement activities
  • Coordination required with supplier performance and quality.
  • Ensure supply chain health for all program specific parts
  • Work proactive initiatives with suppliers for LTA health, portal commits and strategic initiatives to aid the PAC 3 program
  • Serves as the primary SCM interface for NOC (notice of change) and SRI activity for the program.
  • Recommend and Implement sourcing strategy with regard to dual sourcing (for risk mitigation), cost reduction, etc.
  • Program focal to support all supplier transitions (with transition team) as required
  • Coordinate and perform routine visits to key suppliers to validate corrective actions, audit for requirements compliance.
  • Abiility to work proactive initiatives with suppliers to ensure that the supply chain is supporting Vermont operations and supply base is striving for 100% OTD and complete customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of general Supply Chain processes; including but not limited to procurement, sourcing, supplier performance.
  • Understanding of contract structure, business terms and conditions.
  • Works well in a team environment, highly motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong people / interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Work independently, remain calm under pressure and deal with ambiguity
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry preferred
  • SAP proficiency
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP
