Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Operations Manager to join our Insurance Operations team.

About the role

As an Insurance Operations project manager, you will strategize and implement a portfolio of projects that span across Insurance Operations. You will have end-to-end coordination and oversight of joint solution design, solution development, and post-implementation monitoring.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Insurance Operations. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with project sponsors and Insurance Operations teams to design, manage technical operations roadmaps, goal definitions, detailed work plans, resource needs, budget and timelines
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and decisions to important partners and leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end management of multiple projects
  • Analyze project risks, develop recommendations for risk mitigation and communicate risk mitigation options to management and partners
  • Implement and lead essential process improvements that markedly move us towards operational excellence and develop solutions that radically improve the efficacy and efficiency of existing operational processes
  • Develop understanding of Insurance Operations team, both operationally and culturally, to help identify opportunities for improvement projects
  • Introduce, document, and deploy tools and systems to support more efficient project management and execution
  • Lead team to ensure successful implementation and supporting their professional and personal success through development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years operations experience
  • 5+ years of project management/process-oriented operations work experience (lean operations, project management)
  • 3+ years of using data to analyze project performance, identify risks, and develop reports for management and partners
  • Technical skills and advanced Excel skills (can write advanced macros) and familiarity with database languages (SQL)

  • PMP/Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Management consulting or healthcare experience
  • Metrics-driven project management approach, always guiding partners towards 'zero defects'
  • Relationship management skills
