The Operations Quality Manager is responsible for Rockford EPS Quality Inspection Teams which comprise of the Outline Inspection, Receiving Inspection, and Quality Clinic Teams. They will be responsible for leading and managing the supervisors for these areas to ensure we meet daily quality and delivery goals. They will also develop strategies and execute them to improve these areas and ensure they align to company goals for operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of Quality Supervisors and ensure execution of daily priorities to meet customer expectations for quality and delivery.
  • Work with Quality Engineering team on proactive quality measures.
  • Develops and implements Quality Assurance plans, strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.
  • Manages projects and processes to ensure areas and overall quality is continuously improving.
  • Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements.
  • Manages collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources for the development of quality strategy and programs.
  • Reviews quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
  • Provides feedback on quality issues arising from inspection fields to ensure continuous improvement and quality achievement and leads root cause analysis and corrective action planning/implementation to correct product and process nonconformance.
  • Support the Quality organization as a member of the Operations Quality Management team

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • US Citizen is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An understanding of Aerospace Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems, AS9100 and Regulatory Agency Requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
