Responsibilities

Viasat is looking for a Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Engineer to join our SiGe/CMOS RFIC Design Engineering team. As a Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Engineer, you will be working on the design and development of Microwave/RF/Mixed-signal circuit blocks like LNA, PA, VGA, VCO, PLL, ADC & DAC, Mixers etc. You will craft custom IC using SiGe (particularly 130nm & 90nm) or CMOS/CMSO_SOI (particularly 65nm & 45nm) processes.

This opportunity will utilize and expand your problem-solving skills learned in school by generating design IP utilized in sophisticated RFIC designs that push the current state of the art. You will have opportunity to solve unique problems at the device, circuit, and system design. You will participate in weekly team meetings to discuss key issues and provide solutions to these issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Previous experience or exposure in RFCMOS/SiGe RFIC design
  • Familiarity with SiGe/CMOS RF and Microwave IC design and associated CAD tools
  • Previous or current coursework in:
    • Analog IC design
    • Electromagnetism
    • RF and Microwave circuit design
    • Semiconductors
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferences

  • Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Previous relevant internship experience
