Job Description BAE Systems Manassas is looking for an ASIC Technology Program Manager to support the Space line of business for the Electronic Solutions sector. Known as an industry leader for its suite of radiation hardened products, BAE Manassas leverages decades of expertise to build a robust Space product line. BAE Systems Space products are present on almost all of commercial, civil and national security space missions for the past 20 years, including GPS, weather monitoring, satellite TV and radio, and exploring the universe - most notably the Mars rovers and missions to protect those who protect us. From semiconductor components to ASICs to Circuit Card Assemblies and Subsystems, our products are ubiquitous throughout Earth’s orbit and beyond.
We currently have an opening for a Program Manager III in the Space Systems business area. The role provides an opportunity within the Space Systems Business Area’s Program management function. Based in Manassas, VA and reporting to the Space Computers & Products Director, this position is a great opportunity for an employee interested in program management. As a Program Manager III, this individual will:

• Drive the development of the next ASIC technology nodes
• Represent BAE Systems as the primary customer interface
• Be highly motivated to work the front end of the business capture process prior to RFP
• Lead the execution of a portfolio of Customer Research and Development (CRAD) programs
• Provide leadership and mentoring to emerging program managers and team members
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Development and Engineering to identify new business opportunities and execution strategies for Space Systems Product Lines
• Make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure that opportunities receive the necessary support from the functional organizations to achieve program objectives
• Ensure effective utilization of New Business resources within the business area to achieve technical and competitive advantages in the marketplace

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical/engineering field of study and 10+ years of applicable work experience.
• Have demonstrated and proven Program Management skills
• Have a firm understanding of technology trends
• Have a technical background and be able to interact with internal and customer engineers

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• 8+ years of applicable experience with MS in a technical field of study
• PMP Certification
• Space hardware design, procurement, or quality manufacturing and test experience
• Experience working in a FAR/DFAR environment
