Taboola is looking for an experienced Support Engineer to serve the Customer Support operation for the Taboola News customer and products.

What is Taboola News?

Taboola News is the largest content discovery system in the world. It is a relatively new product for Taboola, but has already launched and is running globally in more than 50 markets, with some of the leading OEMs in the world.

The Taboola News team is required for the highest level of technical knowledge, due to the low maturity of the product, the high volume traffic and most premium customers that are using it that require top of the line service.

What is the biggest challenge of being a Support Engineer?

Support engineers are skilled and technically competent members of the Taboola Global Professional Services organization.. They provide system and application technical support while ensuring that all service level agreements and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

The position requires troubleshooting complex web and backend technology issues and excellent communication skills. The Support Engineer works closely with various teams within the company, including other Professional Services teams, RnD engineers and the various business units.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting including DB analysis and reading system logs to identify and solve complex support issues.
  • Manage assigned cases to meet service agreement levels
  • Ongoing support and working closely with the business teams throughout the company.

What are the skills a good T2 Technical Support Engineer needs to have?

  1. Experience in complex troubleshooting, customer support experience interfacing with external and internal clients
  2. Work in a global environment, supporting global markets and remote offices
  3. Experience with SQL and DB querying
  4. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL - a plus
  5. Troubleshooting and technical investigation experience.
  6. Ability to understand a large complex product architecture, involving both client and back end components
  7. Ability to understand flows and provide creative technical solutions
  8. Fluent English and excellent customer facing and communication skills (verbal and written)
  9. Experience providing excellent service to customers, preferably in a technical role
  10. Ability to comply with tight deadlines
  11. Multi-tasking, self-learning, highly motivated and a team player
  12. Preferred experience:
    1. Experience in a technical support position
    2. Experience in a multinational organization
    3. Native Mobile development experience
