About the Role:

Credible is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and systematic Operations Specialist I to join our team. As a member of the Loan Operations team, you will use your meticulous attention to detail to process clients’ loan requests. Your analytical skills will ensure our clients’ loans are processed accurately to meet our partner lenders’ requirements. In this role, you’ll get to work in an expanding and constantly changing environment, where you’ll use your problem-solving skills to deal with complex and interesting challenges on a daily basis. In our office in Durham, you will play a meaningful role on this growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, analyze and process customer requests for student loan refinancing, student loans and personal loans in an efficient and timely matter
• Request information to investigate and resolve complicated cases in communication with our Client Success team
• Assist our QA team to ensure accuracy for onboarding of new partner lenders
• Take on increasingly more challenging roles and projects beyond the core Loan Operations team responsibilities

Sample Projects Include:

• Providing input on Credible’s operational processes and aiding in the design of process improvements
• Working cross-functionally with different teams to integrate new products and lenders on our platform
• Creating JIRAs and working with our engineering team to troubleshoot issues

Education and Experience:

• BA/BS or higher in Operations, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred. A different degree with coursework in data analysis or statistics considered, as is equivalent work experience
• Banking, lending or financial background and experience desired, but a demonstrable ability to accept new challenges and learn things quickly also considered
• Proficiency with Excel (pivots, lookups, moderately complex formulas) required
