The Mgr, Commercial Data Analytics is the focal point for analytics requests from brand teams and MCE(Multichannel, digital tools, analysis) Mgrs and has overall responsibility for connecting business needs to analytics projects that can drive customer experience (patience journey) and business impact for the next general commercial engagement (NGCE) in China.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking and learning Lilly China NGCE activity, outcome, and risks from customer centric perspectives (360 degree). The outcome should support BU esp. marketing team to enhance the quality of business decisions and multichannel engagement investment channel mix and efficiency. In order to achieve those, this role must demonstrate the following competency.
  • Business Analysis - Affiliate Diagnosis and Recommendation: Proactively diagnose cross-BU/brand NGCE activities, outcome, and risks and lead the initiatives and recommendation to impact the way business operates (Examples: Predictive Analytics, Hypothesis Testing, Time-series Forecasting, Text & NLP analytics, Channel Mix analysis, Champaign effectiveness measurements, etc.)
  • Capability Development: Identify and grow the affiliate capability in using data and analytics by identifying, sharing and training on business analysis projects (Deliverable Examples: Affiliate NGCE analytics training, project sharing & learning, etc.)
  • Synergy with other CMO teams (MR, SFE, MOE): Keep high synergy with MR, SFE, MOE in CMO organization and ensure cross channel/data analysis and provide customer centric and campaign measurement.

Education Requirements

  • Degree (Master preferrable) in Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative discipline i.e., Computer Sciences, Economics, Life Science, or related field.

Experience related requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • 3+ years of strong data analytics experience with business acumen and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analytic algorithms and programming language (e.g. R, Python, SAS).
  • Experience using common data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau)
  • Broad awareness and working knowledge of advanced analytics areas such AI. ML, NLP and Predictive Analytics.
  • Excellent communication (written &verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver and delivering complex analysis cross functional projects.
  • High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations.
